NEW HOME UPDATE: seeing the potential new place yesterday went very well.  I loved it even more in person and I think we would get along with the Landlady just fine. We applied for it (it was all very informal) but we discussed the details and she said she wanted us all to take a day to think it over. 

Not that I need to do much thinking. I pretty much knew I wanted this from moment one, but we have thought it over as well and discussed anything on the “con” list.  The only drawback I can find is that there is no laundry on the premises and no ability to hook up a washer/dryer even if I bought one. I haven’t had to go to a laundromat for years, but I am rather fine with that. It just takes more planning. The place also has very, very little closet space so we will need to come up with some alternative storage solutions.

That’s about it.  We are now just waiting. Patience is a virtue… that I don’t have.

I am already arranging the furniture in my head.  I mean, I’m not getting my hopes up, just in case!
